WIN WITHOUT WAR - Congress voted against war

Win Without War

Dear Taansen,

Yesterday, for the first time in over 12 years of war, a majority of the United States House of Representatives voted against the war in Afghanistan. After more than five years of work, five years of calls and emails, Congress heard your voices and agreed' it is time to bring our troops home from Afghanistan.

This victory would not have been possible without you, and we just wanted to say thank you!

You can read our full statement here and read the New York Times description on this important vote here.

And while this victory helps bring the war one step closer to finally being over, there is still much work to be done. From Iran to Syria, from the corridors of the Pentagon to the halls of Congress, our struggle goes on. But this vote is a reminder that together, we can make the world a more peaceful place.

Thank you for working for peace,

-Stephen, Tom, and the Win Without War Team
